have seen the crowns 8 or 10 times in germany and belgium. 5 h back from frankfurt, 4 h back from twist. never did so for other bands. best gig ever at THE MAPLE, Ertvelde. would like to get you once more. kingsize
Sunday June 27, 2010 - Hagen, Germany

The Imperial Crowns reply:   Yes, I remember that gig very well. Small little place and SO much fun... it was a very intimate gig and the owners were so nice too. We had our CD's set up out on the patio. I loved that night. It was very special, yes! Thanks! JJ PS - at least you will be able to spend a bit less on gasoline for now. :)
Patrick (Belgium)
Thanks JJ for your sincere and straight forward answer, I totally agree (and do understand) with your point of view. If you (the band) reach that point of saturation (for any given reason) so it may suffocate you, it sure is a better deal to seek new challenges. But I haven't any doubt one day (sooner or later) we will have the pleasure meeting you again over here. Meanwhile, we will keep on wearing the IC t-shirt. Keep up the good work and enjoy! greetz!
Tuesday June 22, 2010 - Brussels

The Imperial Crowns reply:   Thanks for the continued support. I wear my IC T-shirts all the time too, they are nice shirts if I say so myself. ha! AND you may very well be correct that we could end up playing over there again. I SO love to travel across Europe playing with the band. THANKS!!!
Cheryl
Jimmie, Whassup?

Hi, if it comes up to questions related to whether the Imperial Crowns will hit the road again or not, there's a misty answer. So, JJ, tell us, what's going on, may we assume the band is taking some time off or is there something else going on? Enjoyed every little moment of your gigs, more over, still lively remember the one at the Cognac festival, yes.yes, years ago, but so impressivily that nighttime performance, one doesn't dare to forget! Hope to see you around one day, in the meantime, all the best to you all!
Wednesday June 16, 2010 - Brussels (Belgium)

The Imperial Crowns reply:   Hi Patrick, Thank you very much and yes, that is a good question. So, here is the deal, as it stands now... Jimmie and I are life-time friends and have played together as musicians for years & years. We currently still do Blues Brothers gigs together regularly in the Sacred Hearts Band throughout the year all over the US & Canada... just as we have done for the past 16 years. We also did a gig together just last week with Chuck E Weiss as an acoustic blues trio. So in other words, we have many music avenues together, past and present. Although The Imperial Crowns just isn't something we can devote time to now, all I can say is that one never knows the future 100%. We might fire the band up again someday and we may not. We hit it pretty hard on the road for several years, then sort of hit a crisis point, and now are just doing other things besides the Imperial Crowns which make more sense in our lives today. We agree it was a great band & we are proud of what we did. For now, the website remains, with no changes as you can see. For now, maybe forever, we have just sort of hung up the Imperial Crowns guns, but we also keep them in plain view for ourselves, as a reminder & so we don't forget either. Yes, we are still here, and no we have no plans. ha!

I really hope that helps you and everyone else who has asked us. The best to you too! JJ
Jonathan
What gives? You're an L.A. based band and I haven't seen a show in years. What's going on? Your fans are waiting. All the while you have been gone, the Devil has been getting a foothold and kicking some ass. Are you going to just stand by?
Friday, May 28, 2010 - La La Land

The Imperial Crowns reply:   Hey Jonathan,
Wow, THANK YOU very much for the encouragement and giving it the old college try. We do appreciate it. It was a lot of fun for us all and I, for one, am glad you remember us. The band as it was is no longer actively playing any gigs anywherez at all on this big o' world, so don't feel left out. JJ

re; preachin the blues cd/dvd. loved em man. not the same as seeing ya up close. my ol lady stiil gets wet talking about seeing ya in duluth, mn a few years a go. were both musicians, since kennedy was still w/ us, unwilling to leave the woods, playing covers and as much blues as we can get away with. love ya madly, thanks for the music.

Hey guys what's going on, have split up or what? Can we see you back in Holland in the future? Visit your concerts a couple of times at the Moulin Blues fest, at The Borderline in Diest, at Ernesto's in Sittard and at De Bosuil in Wert. I think it is time that you start a new tour in Holland and Belgium. It is too long ago I heard of you. You can make it if you try (double trouble). So put yourself together and make the European fans happy. Hope to see and hear you soon
Friday December 4, 2009 - Valkenburg a/d Geul Holland

The Imperial Crowns reply:   Thank You, Marin!
Those were ALL really FUN shows. Great people at every one of them too!!! I remember every show you mentioned! Thanks for coming! I hope you have a good memory too because we have no future plans at this time. But.... who knows? Maybe again .... someday...
I wish you a Happy New Year!
