Hi Jimmie and JJ, like all the others who post messages I cannot wait to see you again. I saw you guys 3x (Bosuil in Weert and Ernesto's in Sittard). Right now over here "The Sky is Crying" and we are "Moanin' at Midnight". But then again you should listen to you hearts. So yes, I understand that right now you choose a different way. I respect that and remember: all good things come to those who wait  So, I hope to see you back before you are "Getting Old and Grey" and that "The Sun is Shining" again over here in The Netherlands. have seen the crowns 8 or 10 times in germany and belgium. 5 h back from frankfurt, 4 h back from twist. never did so for other bands. best gig ever at THE MAPLE, Ertvelde. would like to get you once more. kingsize

Yes, I remember that gig very well. Small little place and SO much fun... it was a very intimate gig and the owners were so nice too. We had our CD's set up out on the patio. I loved that night. Thanks JJ for your sincere and straight forward answer, I totally agree (and do understand) with your point of view. If you (the band) reach that point of saturation (for any given reason) so it may suffocate you, it sure is a better deal to seek new challenges. But I haven't any doubt one day (sooner or later) we will have the pleasure meeting you again over here. Meanwhile, we will keep on wearing the IC t-shirt. Keep up the good work and enjoy! greetz!

So, JJ, tell us, what's going on, may we assume the band is taking some time off or is there something else going on? Enjoyed every little moment of your gigs, more over, still lively remember the one at the Cognac festival, yes.yes,years ago, but so impressivily that nighttime performance, one doesn't dare to forget! Hi Patrick, Thank you very much and yes, that is a good question. So, here is the deal, as it stands now... Jimmie and I are life-time friends and have played together as musicians for years & years. We currently still do Blues Brothers gigs together regularly in the Sacred Hearts Band throughout the year all over the US & Canada... just as we have done for the past 16 years. We also did a gig together just last week with Chuck E Weiss as an acoustic blues trio. So in other words, we have many music avenues together, past and present. Although The Imperial Crowns just isn't something we can devote time to now, all I can say is that one never knows the future 100%. We might fire the band up again someday and we may not. We hit it pretty hard on the road for several years, then sort of hit a crisis point, and now are just doing other things besides the Imperial Crowns which make more sense in our lives today. We agree it was a great band & we are proud of what we did. For now, the website remains, with no changes as you can see. For now, maybe forever, we have just sort of hung up the Imperial Crowns guns, but we also keep them in plain view for ourselves, as a reminder & so we don't forget either. Yes, we are still here, and no we have no plans. ha!
